Introduction
Joint is formed by surface of two or more bones. And to hold them at right position, there are other structures like ligaments, capsule, muscles,etc.
Joint can be fixed or Movable.
Fixed joint rarely gets much problem as there is no any movement between bony surface. It helps to transfer the load from one side to other side.
Movable joints are more unstable and likely to get injury faster.
Friction between joint surface are dependent on type of joint as well as how much movement it permits. Friction is maintained through fluid which is present between joint, also called synovial fluid.
